The first is impaired movement in the alimentary canal and impaired digestion in the intestine due to disturbed microflora in the gut. Hypothyroidism can also cause constipation. In some cases parasitic infections can also cause constipation due to the toxins produced by the parasite. Bad dietary habits like overconsumption of junk and fried foods can also lead to constipation.
